Tunisia: 158,000 tonnes of commercial phosphate already exported abroad

The Gafsa Phosphate Company (CPG) exported 158,000 tonnes of commercial phosphate between January and July, according to a report by the state-owned company relayed on Wednesday by the Tunisian press. It is counting on a total of 320,000 tonnes for the year, which would be unheard of since 2012.

In addition to the exports already sent notably to Turkey, France, Spain, Italy and Peru, the CPG plans to ship 20,000 tonnes to Brazil at the end of August or another 25,000 to Indonesia in September, followed by other quantities to Spain and Turkey in October. Some 20,000 tonnes should leave for Senegal next November.
