Shanxi Province in northern China has handled 700 China-Europe freight trains since the service launched in 2017.
The 700th freight train, loaded with products such as ceramic tableware, car tires, pipe fittings and glass products, left the logistics park in Zhongding, Shanxi on August 5, according to China Railway Taiyuan Group Co., Ltd.
The train, carrying 77 containers with a total cargo volume of about 1,814 tons, will pass through the port of Horgos, Xinjiang Ughur Autonomous Region, China, and arrive at destination countries including Kazakhstan in one hour. ten days.
Since 2017, Shanxi has launched 10 China-Europe freight train routes linking 13 countries along the Belt and Road.
As the province continues to expand its high-level openness, the categories of goods exported by China-Europe freight trains have gradually expanded from items such as wheels, stainless steel and solar photovoltaic modules, a variety of categories, including medicines, flanges, ceramics, glassware, nuts and other local specialty products.
